A Happy new year ⛩🎍🌅
Thank you for coming to my page😊
I’d appreciate if you interested in Japanese food cultures or my hometown Shizuoka through my blog in this year too💕
In the end of last year, I cooked Osechi which is a special dish for Japanese new year.✨
The Osechi is one of very Japanese traditional dishes and all ingredients have something wish meanings originally.
For example,
The black beans have a wish of “encourage work” or “academic achievement”.✏️🤓
The Kazunoko (salted herring roe) have a wish of “prosperity of descendants”.🤱
To eat these meals with families in the New Year’s Day, we pray the happiness in the year since the old days🙏✨
On the other hand, there is another meaning of Osechi which is thinking for women.🙆♀️
It may seem that old way of thinking,
women (wives) had cooked dishes for their families since the old days, so Osechi which is a kind of meal preparation makes wives have enough time to relax in early new year days.
When I eat these dishes in New Year’s Day,
I feel really begging of New Years, and also happiness, gratitude for good health and peaceful for my surroundings ✨
I wish you a good year ‼️😄❤️
